  1. For question #2, what did you do differently from the original post? Please outline, explain and justify what you changed & why. Essentially, what did you learn from this new topic and what did you change and why. (8 Marks)

When I was re-writing my F-pattern, compared to my first F-pattern, I did a complete 360 and changed the entire structure, wording, and look. I incorporated a more general F-pattern look after we re-discussed proper F-patterns in class. I went with shorter information, incorporating bullet points as while as using plain language so that my content is easily understandable to readers. By utilizing bullet points and plain language within my new F-pattern, I aimed to present my content and information in a easily under stable format. Which will help enable readers to quickly understand my key points without feeling overwhelmed or bored by lengthy paragraphs, which is what I had in my first F-pattern.

To begin, as said above, I focused on using plain language throughout my revised F-pattern to help ensure that my readers can easily understand all the content I’m providing them. This I did not do in my old F-pattern, and looking back at it I could see the difference and the benefits plain language has on my revised F-pattern. This approach goes over what we discussed in class, and how I learned about the difference it makes using plain language compared to more complex language, as now my F-pattern is suitable and understandable for everyone to read and comprehend. By avoiding complex wording, I aimed to create the content more accessible to a wider audience, including those that have difficulty reading long complex sentences. This in end, aligns with the facts that effective communication should always prioritize clarity and simplicity to be able to convey information effectively for all readers to understand.

Additionally, I structured the content within my new F-pattern to follow a more traditional layout, such as the ones I learned in class. I utilized clear information within my revised F-pattern to help guide readers attention easily from top to bottom and left to right. This incorporation was created after learning from class discussions about optimizing content for online reading behaviours, including the tendency that readers have to scan vertically and also focus primarily from left to right on the screen. By utilizing the information from class discussions about peoples reading pattern, I wanted to create a smoother and more pleasing reading experience for my readers, allowing for them to quickly locate the relevant information I provide to them, and engage with my content more effectively. This ultimately was added to my revised F-pattern and lacked in my first, as after going through both, it was hard to hold my attention and read from the left to right without being distracted due to all the words.

Furthermore, for my revised F-pattern I utilized visually appealing elements such as emojis and clickable buttons to help improve customer engagement and encourage them to interact with my content further. I learned that If I implemented emojis and clickable buttons, this would help further engage my readers as the emojis are eye-catching and will intrigue them, and then the clickable buttons Is like a CTA within that will motivate them to further engage with my business. Overall, the changes I made in my revised F-pattern reflects from what I’ve learned from class discussions, and with that information I was able to re-create a F-Pattern that uses plain language, is accessible, and allows for further user engagement.
