It involves incorporating content within your website, that makes it easily understandable for everyone no matter the education level; it allows for you to clearly get your point across to your website visitors. The plain language writing approach is especially important for web as it responds to the needs of today’s large online traffic, who typically spend seconds deciding whether if they should engage with a website. People usually hate having to read long and complicated sentences, trying to understand what is being said, therefore using plain language for web allows for further engagement as people will enjoy having to read concise and clear sentences. Being able to present your websites content in a clear, concise, yet informative manner with the use of plain language writing, will help increase the chances of you capturing visitors’ attention while obtaining their interest.
